By the end of this BC ECHO on Substance Use session, participants will be able to:
1) describe the reason a patient want to transition from methadone to buprenorphine/naloxone,
2) safely and effectively transition a patient from methadone to buprenorphine/naloxone,
3) compare and contrast different strategies for transitioning a patient from methadone to buprenorphine/naloxone,
4) explain a care plan for this transition to a patient, and
5) determine which office-based and laboratory tests (e.g., urine drug testing) are clinically useful and appropriate during transitions from methadone to buprenorphine/naloxone and when to use them.
