At the end of this session, you should be able to:

1. Describe the difference between point-of-care urine drug tests (UDT) and laboratory UDT
2. Develop a safe and effective plan to obtain regular and random UDT
3. Interpret UDT results
4. Describe the detection limits of urine drug testing for each substance
5. Describe confirmation tests that can be ordered for UDT and clinical scenarios when ordering these tests would be appropriate
6. Identify the standard practice for collecting UDT in order to avoid contamination or adulteration
7. Develop an understanding of the utility and reasons for UDT
