By the end of this BC ECHO on Substance Use session, participants will be able to:
1) identify and diagnose alcohol withdrawal using the DSM-5 criteria,
2) utilize the PAWSS tool to assess risk of severe complications of alcohol withdrawal and inform the selection of the most appropriate withdrawal management pathway, and
3) discuss considerations for withdrawal management based on patient risk in the context of rural and remote and/or low-resource communities
